Claudia Egger was born in Canada to Swiss parents. As a child she moved back to Switzerland, returning years later to attend Carleton University in Ottawa.
Self-employed in retail in Toronto for two decades, she sold her business to attend the Culinary Institute of America, graduating in Baking and Pastry Arts, reviving a life long passion for baking and cooking carried down from her mother and maternal grandmother.
Always striving to improve and broaden selection, always exploring and learning, Claudia and her kitchen team are constantly challenging themselves to create something new, improve the standards and strive to find the wisdom to leave a good thing alone!
Claudia's goal for Frangipane is to be considered one of the best in the industry in terms of quality and commitment to detail and to always exceed her customers' expectations. Her retail experience has led her to create a small intimate locale with a friendly and enthusiastic atmosphere.
